Sallie Davis Conner

Sallie was an only child. Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, David Mitchell and Lula Belle Davis and her husband of fifty-two years, Wesley Anthony Conner, Sr. In addition, Sallie was preceded in death by her special friend Mr. Tommy Winstead. Sallie (Memaw) is survived by her four loving children Gwen, Wesley, Jr., David and wife Elizabeth (Liz) and Alan. She was also survived by her six Grandchildren Megan, Bobby and wife Ellen, Wesley III, Benjamin and wife Grace Elizabeth (Lizzy), Kathryn (Katie)and husband Steven A. Geuther and Jennifer Conner. Sallie also was blessed with four great grandchildren Kailey, Katherine (Kate), John and Benjamin (Coates) Conner.

Sallie was a loving wife, doting mother, a loving grandmother/great grandmother, and an awesome care taker. Memaw never missed or forgot a birthday or anniversary. Mom and Dad both emphasized being a good person, a loyal friend, a devout Christian and of course our mom and dad made sure their children had an opportunity for a college education. After raising her four children through high school, she went back to work with our father to help grow Conner Optical Services, Bellaire, TX. She was a great asset at Conner Optical Services for twenty years, before retiring. Sallie was a Member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Ridgecrest Civic Club, and Prevent Blindness organizations.

The Family will receive visitors Wednesday October 7, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway. Funeral service will be held in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 8, 2015 by Monsignor Dan Scheel with Internment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
