Samuel George Fravel

Samuel George Fravel – Infant son of Ted and Alicia (Bonomo) Fravel of Katy, TX passed away peacefully Saturday, November 19th in the loving arms of his Mom and Dad. Born in Houston, Texas on October 29, 2011, Sam spent his three weeks with us at Texas Children’s Hospital fighting a courageous and brave battle against a severe congenital heart defect. Though Sam was only with us a short time, he affected so many people’s lives around him. Whether it was his Mom and Dad sitting at his bedside, family and friends praying for him from all points of the globe or “watching” talk shows and football with the staff at Texas Children’s, he brought smiles and laughter to all that knew him. He taught us hope and patience, faith and love, but above all he taught us that kindness and compassion towards others are when we are at our best. He will be missed tremendously. Sam also leaves behind his grandparents, Tom and Carol Bonomo of Vernon, CT, Pat and Dave Fravel of Longwood, FL. His Uncle Dave and Aunt Michelle Fravel of Coutuit, MA, his Uncles Ryan Bonomo of Ellington, CT and TJ Bonomo of Vernon, CT. He also leaves behind several cousins, extended family and friends who were with him in spirit for his entire journey.

A memorial visitation will be held for Sam on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Hunters Creek Chapel of Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024 . In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation in Samuel George Fravel’s honor be made for continued research into Congenital Heart Disease to http://www.itsmyheart.org/donate. A wonderful organization devoted to building awareness and providing support to families affected by CHD
