Samuel Joseph Shahda

Arch Priest Reverend Joseph Shahda fell asleep in the Lord at 6:15 pm on April 1, 2023. A career priest of 30 years, an accomplished business man, a shepherd of his parish flock and a loving father to his children and wife, Father Joseph was devoted to the betterment of all he touched. His guidance and love for others will always be remembered as a cornerstone of his actions. He is survived by his caring and dedicated wife Anita, his sons Joseph and James, his two amazing daughter in laws Amy and Norma and his grandchildren Samuel, Joseph, Julia and James. His work as an Orthodox Priest will never be forgotten by his parishioners, and his devotion as a family man will always be remembered as an example to his children and grandchildren.

A visitation for Samuel will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St George Orthodox Christian Church, 5311 Mercer St, Houston, TX 77005, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers we would like donations given to St. George, Orthodox Church.
