Sandra Lee Black

Sandra was born on the 20th day of October 1940, in Denton, Texas. Her family moved to Houston when she was two years old. She went to Burbank and Ethel R. Coop Elementary schools, Burbank and Hamilton Jr. High and graduated from Sam Houston High School. Her extra curricular was figure skating and was State and Regional single and pairs champion for two years. She attended UT, Columbia University and graduated from U of H.

Her hobbies were reading, needlework, crossword puzzles, Republican Woman’s

Club, the Book Club and golf. She was a walking scorer at the Houston Open for 10

years. She was a long time member of Lakeside Country Club and Cullasaja Club of North Carolina.

Sandra is predeceased by her parents; Ernest (Red) Pruett and Wilma Pruett , her

Husband; John Daniel Black and her sister; Shirley Pruett Rabke. She is survived by

her son; Scott Daniel Black and his wife Catherine Black, grandchildren; McKenna

Leeanne Black and Colin Daniel Black; also five wonderful nieces and one very special nephew.
