Sergio A. Vega Sr.

Our beloved father, Sergio Antonio Vega Sr., passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2026, due to a heart attack. Born in Brownsville on June 4, 1959, Sergio was known for his strong faith in God, his heart full of love, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was hardworking, compassionate, and brought joy wherever he went. Sergio loved to laugh, tease, and crack jokes—there was never a dull moment in his presence.

Sergio was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angela Vega; his son, Mario Vega; and his brother, Jesus Vega.

He is survived by his loving mother, Audocia Romero; his sister, Martha Romero; and his brother, Jorge Vega. He also leaves behind his cherished children: Helen Campbell, Rosalinda Vega, Juana Whitlock, Yolanda Castro, Sergio Vega Jr., Jorge Vega, and Luis Vega. Sergio is also survived by his sons-in-law, Taylor Campbell, Timothy Whitlock, and Albert Castro; four stepdaughters; two stepsons; 27 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Sergio will be lovingly remembered by his devoted family and many dear friends.

He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always carried in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Pecan Venue, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, on May 26, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Pecan Venue, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, on May 27, 2026, at 11:00 am.
