

Sharon Lynn Davis, 66, of Houston left this world for Heaven on March 16th. She was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas to George L. Davis and June Broughton Davis. Sharon grew up in Houston and developed her love for real estate in the Bayou City. As she was making plans to become a licensed realtor, fate intervened and she moved to the Northeast, living first in Boston, then Long Island,Ann Arbor Michigan and eventually Wellington, Florida.
Sharon’s early business endeavors were quite successful. She sold word processing systems and became one of the company’s top 3 National sales representatives. In the early 1980's she purchased the Lasma Herd of Russian Arabian Horses and proceeded to make a very successful business in founding Morning Glory Arabians in Wellington. Sharon's pure bred Russian Arabians were some of the most sought out in the world due to her strict breeding program. Selling horses to Middle Eastern Sheiks, Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones and Paulo Gucci of Gucci hand bags amongst many other notable people. In 2002, Sharon returned to Houston and became licensed as a Texas Realtor, where she wanted to be and work in luxury residential real estate. She loved this city and sold luxury properties in Houston's finest neighborhoods. She had strong expertise in new construction homes and was a real estate and design resource for local home builders as well as consistently making top producer at John Daugherty Realty, making #7 in 2014. Sharon also had experience in major restorations of vintage homes, particularly River Oaks. When not working, Sharon enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren, friends, and her two dogs – Camilla and Talullah.
She is survived by her sons James Counce, Kyle (Erika) Counce and John Davis, grandchildren Caleb, Baer, Adalaide, Auden, Logan and Walker Counce, brother Mark (Tilly) Davis, cousin Donna (Burt) Mann and numerous close friends and associates. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Logan Roberts.
She will be severely missed by any and all who knew her. She was a strong independent woman, whose drive which was unmatched. She knew exactly what she wanted out of this world. We will miss you mom.
