Sharon M. McLeod

SHARON HUTCHINGS MCLEOD, age 57, left this world and entered into the loving arms of Jesus on March 19, 2015. Sharon was born to Warren and Pauline Hutchings and was raised with her two sisters in Houston TX. For the past several decades the community of St. Ambrose Catholic Church filled her life with spiritual growth and fellowship. Like a true artist does, Sharon always found beauty in the world around her and transferred that beauty to the lives she touched through her paintings, sketches, and writing. Strong, loving, and compassionate, Sharon exemplified the image of the perfect mother, wife, sister, and friend. Sharon is preceded in death by her father and mother, her husband Dirk McLeod, sister Margaret Howard, and cousin Claudio Baldi. She is survived by daughter Jessica McLeod, sister Maria Hutchings, niece Tracie Howard Watkins, mother-in-law Nelda McLeod, brother-in-law Douglas McLeod and his wife Teresa, brother-in-law Eric McLeod and his wife Lisa, nephew and niece Josh Bennett and Marissa McLeod Peterson, great nieces and nephews and many other relatives. Public visitation will begin at 5:00pm with the Rosary recited at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 25th at the chapel of Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4213 Mangum Road, Houston 77092 on Thursday, March 26th at 11:00am. Committal service will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
