It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and wife Shauna Sue Solis (60 years of age) on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Pasadena, Texas. She was born August 11, 1963, in Houston, Texas. She attended Massey Business College and later received her certification in Business. Shuana had a heart of giving and her home was always open to anyone in need of a place to stay and/or warm meal to eat. She was a family-oriented person and loved to cook and could often be found in the kitchen cooking and baking her family’s favorite dishes. Shauna also had a talent for crocheting and knitting and could spend hours making special blankets and gifts for others. Some of her other favorite hobbies included fishing (her favorite spot was Freeport), camping, playing board games, puzzles, and spending time with her family. Shauna was a master gardener and took pride in her beautiful ivies. Shauna’s favorite time of year was the holiday season because it meant lots of visitors, storytelling, music, laughter, and a house full of love. Shauna is preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Tiffany and Manny Gomez. She is survived by a loving husband Nicolas Solis Jr. of 42 years, her 6 children and their spouses (Nicholas and Erica Solis, Ernestina and Juan Ortiz, Karen Solis, Joe Acosta, Brandon and Damaris Solis, and Melissa Izquierdo). She leaves behind 17 grandchildren (Destiny, Nicholas, Alexis, James, Zachary, William, Madalyn, Christian, Kelly, Brandon Jr., Jovanni, Zaryiah, Kathryn, Isabella, Kristi, Jayden and Ava), followed by 6 great grandchildren (Jazlynn, Amyah, Andrew, Jayden, Emily and Eric). Shauna is also survived by her mother Gwendolyn “Memaw” Sullivan, brother Timothy and wife Donielle Sullivan, brother Mack and wife Pat Sullivan, as well as a host of family and friends. As we bid farewell to our beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandma, sister, tia, and friend, we are thankful for the love and guidance she provided to all of us. Although we will miss her dearly, we take solace in knowing she is no longer in pain and will be comforted in the arms of her daughter, our sister, Tiffany again.
