I remember going to aunt Shirley‘s in Brazoria when they had a fireworks stand on the 4th of July and how Steve and I would be playing with the fireworks and aunt Shirley would tell us to stay out of trouble and how uncle John was always the last one to get there and he bought the biggest roll of blackjack firecrackers and he would light the whole thing and throw it up on aunt Shirley’s porch and how he thought it was funny. Those are the kid memories that never go away.

She will be missed deeply by all.

I was blessed to be able to take care of Shirley for a few years. We had good days and then was bad, but memories you always remember the good. If she had a bad day and she was ugly about something she would always tell me she was sorry. She would tell me she loved me and thanked me when she seen me doing things for her and especially when I put her to bed. I learned not to ask her if her back hurt because she would tell me NO "my back my crack and two four sides hurt", I wanted to roll laughing I never heard that saying before. Shirley was such a loving, caring, and strongest little ladies I ever known. Im going to miss them big smiles and the funny little things she always did. Shirley loved to sing and dance now she's dancing and singing in heaven with God and all the angels . I always will consider Shirley as my baby girl and I miss you deeply. Fly high my angel.

You’ve been like my mother, my best friend, my sister, my everything. God was so merciful to give me such a wonderful Christian sister. There are so many things that you’ve done for me I can’t even count them

I know you’re in a better place. I know you’re singing with the Angels.

I know my children will miss you and you were more like a mom to them than an aunt. I know Stacey especially will miss you..

There are no words that I can even say that will express how much I loved you. You were such a beautiful soul.

I have big shoes to fill.  I will continue to look after the babies. You are a wonderful woman.

We are going to miss you so much, but I know you are in a much better place now with all of the other loved ones in heaven. 

You gave me so many opportunities in life and I owe much of who I am to you.  You made sure that I had a good education by placing me into small private schools like Temple Oaks Elementary, Northwest Academy and Baylor University.  You provided a path for me to be the best I could be at whatever I wanted to do.  

You always inspired me by your ability to manage so many different things in life with a smile and a prayer.  I am so lucky to have had a mom like you. Thank you!

I saw you do so many things out of the goodness of your heart for everyone no matter who they were. If that meant providing a donation to the church or help to a family member, you would do anything and everything to help. Even after you became sick with Alzheimer's, you continued to be a good mom by telling everyone that you loved them - that disease didn't take that away from you.  You would try to feed me your plate or give me your drink while in a hospital bed or sitting at the table. I could see the love from your pure soul.

We are so very thankful to have had you in our lives, but it is time for you to soar and be free..

Dear Ones, just want you all to know I am thinking of you since I heard sweet Shirley has gone on to be with the Lord.  My heart aches for all she left behind, because she was an angel on earth and we will all miss her sweet loving kindness that is so hard to come by these days.  My heart is also full of joy that Shirley is free from all this mess and now healthy and happy in Heaven with all her loved ones who went before her.  Man, she was a Champion for Christ, one of the very best examples of a true Christian I’ve ever known.  She ran her race!  No matter what, she picked up her cross and followed Jesus for real, and she did such a good job.  

Boufi, your job is done!  You finished your race!  I am so blessed to have known you and to have spent time with you on this earth.  I can’t wait to rejoice with you in Heaven!!

I love y’all and will be praying for your peace and comfort throughout this difficult time.  Keep the faith, we are all going to make it to see her again!! ❤️

She was like a Mom to me growing up. Randy and I were always together and she kept a close eye on us and tried to keep us out of trouble. She had that 👀 and we knew!!

She also had the open door policy and took very very good care of all that walked thru it.

She holds a very special place in my heart always.

Mom was a sweet woman  loved and cared deeply  everyone in her life there is so much to say but we all know how awsome  she was she was loved by many all her life she was a caring  woman strong  in her faith in  Christ  She was the backbone  of so much in the  family I will miss her smile her hugs and kisses  and twiddling her  hair and anyone who  sat close to her  the blue eyes of pure love I'll meet you at the gate give Jesus  a hug for me Amen 

Most of my favorite memories are of the summers I spent at Aunt Shirley's in Brazoria.  I always wanted a sister and felt like I had two being with Karen and Sherry every summer.  Aunt Shirley treated me as one of her own children, taking us to Vacation Bible School and skating.  Then I spent even more time with them when they moved to Houston.  I used to say I wanted to be just like Aunt Shirley when I grew up and have a big happy family.  I love her so much and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

Mom was truly one special and lovely lady.  She lived her life with integrity, respecting others and loving fully. She encouraged everyone to be kind to one another and when disputes occurred, to work things out, forgive and then move forward. 
In my eyes, she will always remain my beautiful, loving mother. One who was a constant in my life. She loved me unconditionally and always saw the best in me. I will carry her memory with me forever and will miss her deeply. 

It’s hard to say goodbye to someone whose presence enriched the lives of so many. I believe that is what Shirley brought to each of us who knew and loved her. She was kind and gentle but also strong and courageous. She put the needs of others before her own and loved wholeheartedly. What a beautiful woman she was! I will miss her warm, sweet smile and will always cherish the memories of our times spent together during birthdays, holidays and other events. I will fondly remember her, not only as Pop’s “pretty little redhead”, but also as my own sweet mother-in-law, who welcomed me into her family with so much love. 

I remember growing up mawmaw ( TJ ) and Pawpaw ( Bill ) would have our family Christmas at aunt Shirley’s house when they lived there, I remember no matter what kind of day you were having and you went and saw aunt Shirley she always turned your frown in to a smile. Aunt Shirley always made sure you had plenty to eat when you came over.  I know she’s gonna be missed by all….. fly high Aunt Shirley you finally got your angle wings 

Loved seeing all the family photos.  Aunt Shirley was the kindest and most courageous person we’ve ever met.  She was faced with so many challenges in life yet took them on with her faith leading her and never looked back.  She was an angel on earth and now she has her wings.  Fly high Aunt Shirley, you will be greatly missed.   

Some of my fondest childhood memories were spent with MawMaw and PawPaw.  MawMaw was always so sweet and nurturing to everyone.  I never saw her get angry.  I remember watching her, as a young child, tirelessly caring for everyone around her.  I would watch her take such loving care of Aunt Sherry and Eric.  Most times when we visited for fun family get togethers, she would be up in the wee hours of the morning, cleaning the floors.  She always made sure there were plenty of Flying Saucer pies when we all arrived.  She was a woman of great faith and was such a sweet example to all of us.  We are all better people to have known her and to have been loved by her.  Her memory will always be for a blessing.  

Mom was a good person. She loved everyone. Always doing for others. Mom made my daddy ( Harold Joseph Dronet Sr. ) a very happy man.  We always had fun at their home. The holidays were the best. You will be missed, loved and always in our hearts and memories. Love you Mom.
