Sidney Louis Reynaud

He was born November 19, 1928, in New Orleans to Sidney Louis Reynaud, Sr., and Isabel St. Martin Reynaud. He grew up in Lutcher, Louisiana, and graduated from Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans. He graduated from Tulane University in 1950 where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He served in the Louisiana National Guard and spent his professional career at Shell Oil Company from which he retired after more than 35 years of service. Sidney and his family moved to Houston in 1973. He was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Serra Club.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Peter and Raymond Reynaud. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Luckett Reynaud, daughter Ann L. Reynaud, son Sidney E. Reynaud and his wife Michelle, grandson Alex L. Reynaud, all of Houston, TX, sister Susan Reynaud of La Mesa, CA, and many cousins. He was the uncle of Mamie Balestra, Rosie Wenstrup, and Bill Luckett. The family wishes to thank Elizabeth Ekong and Toyin Ekibolaji for the loving care they gave Sidney during these last few months. The family would also like to thank David Heber Rast for his continuing love and support.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. in the Hunter’s Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX, 77024. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July16, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, TX, 77056, with a reception to follow in the St. Michael Parish Center. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at Lakelawn Metarie Cememtery, in New Orleans, LA.
