Silvio Jose Narvaez

Silvio was born March 25, 1959 in La Paz Centro, León, Nicaragua to Juan Narvaez and Mercedes Jarquin de Narvaez. In March 1981 he married the former Tanya Acevedo. He emigrated from his beloved Nicaragua in 1983 but he would visit as often as possible. Silvio was an avid lover of the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. His storytelling and unwavering support of his family will be remembered alongside his generosity of spirit and larger than life personality. Silvio was a loving father, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

Silvio is survived by his daughter, Carmen Maria Narvaez; his sisters, Maria Elena Narvaez and Maria Mercedes (Tita) Narvaez; his brothers, John Narvaez, Edwin Narvaez, and Orlando Narvaez; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Mercedes, and his wife Tanya Acevedo de Narvaez.

A wake will be held in his honor on Thursday, April 14th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079. Mass will be held on April 15, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church located at 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston TX 77079.
