Stanley Dickson McCleese

Stanley “Stan” D. McCleese, beloved father and friend, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, at the age of 62. Born in Lorain, Ohio, on August 16, 1961, to Clifford and Marjorie (Kirby) McCleese, Stan lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Stan was a devoted father to his daughter Madison McCleese. He was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting embrace. His friends knew him as a kind, happy man who was always eager to lend a helping hand.

Whether he was fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, or simply spending time with family and friends, Stan's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. Stan was a longtime resident of Cypress, Texas, and the Houston area. He was an employee of Compaq and HP for the majority of his career and retired in 2023 from Western Digital as a talented and skilled engineer.

He will be deeply missed by his daughter Madison, son-in-law Eric Battin of Huntington Village, NY, his older brother Clifford ‘Cliff’ McCleese Jr., his community of lifelong friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be with us in person, Stan's spirit and laugh will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Stan's life will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, Cypress Creek, on June 1st from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, crack open a cold beer or play a round of darts in his name. Quality time with friends and family was what he treasured most
