Steven Joseph Gee, 74, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2025. He will be remembered as a generous, fun-loving and devoted family man who lived life fully—always with good food and good company.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Steven was the eldest son of Parker and Nora Gee. He grew up working at Parkway Food Market with his parents and siblings Mamie, Evelyn, Alvin and Wesley. Working with his family each day helped Steven develop a strong work ethic and even stronger love for family. He graduated from Jones High School and went on to earn bachelor degrees from the University of Houston in both Technology and Business Administration.
Steven built a long and respected career as an environmental consultant working at companies that include the Texas Highway Department, KBR, AECOM and IDCUS. His professionalism, dedication, and easygoing nature made him a well-known figure in his field.
In 1975, Steven married the love of his life Suzanne. They were just 8 days short of their 50th anniversary at his passing. Steven and Suzanne never missed a chance to support their children, Lindsay and Jonathan, in their school and extra-curricular activities and made sure they "ate like kings" at his favorite Houston restaurants. His 5 grandchildren brought him endless happiness. He delighted in showering them with surprise gifts and special treats.
Steven loved people and often shared the love of Christ through “random acts of kindness”. His favorite past-time was spending Saturdays with his buddies at the shooting range - an outing that always ended with shared stories and a good lunch. Steven was a member of Faith Fellowship Church of Fort Bend.
Steven is survived by his wife Suzanne, children Lindsay and Luke Longacre, Jonathan and Sarah Gee, mother Nora Gee, siblings Mamie Lew, Alvin Gee and Wesley Gee, grand-children Eleanor and Ruby Longacre and Parker, Ethan and Ella Gee and other loving members of his large family. Steven is preceded in death by father You Parker Gee and sister Evelyn Gor.
