God I thank You for the beautiful soul Ms. Sue was and the impact she had on many including me.  I especially want to thank You for giving me the opportunity to get to know her in the latter part of her life. I will always remember the very first day we met at Kim’s house . It was as if we had known each other for a long time. 🩷 . There was a natural connection of the heart. I will miss her dearly, but will never forget our sweet talks as we enjoyed delicious popcorn at times , us singing , praying and reading God’s Word together .. and even the special time celebrating her birthday at the assisting living facility . She was such a joy and I look forward to seeing her again one day in heaven ! 

Kim , Kelly and Jeff  I also pray strength and peace over you and the family during this time and the days ahead. Remember to take it one day at a time as God longs to comfort your hearts and carry  you through this season. He loves each of you SO much, and I pray You experience His strength , peace and love in a very special way !

Meme was such an amazing grandma, mother, and wife. Seeing her stand by Mac, support my parents, and give unrelenting love to us grandkids allowed me to have a wonderful role model. I loved all the time I was able to spend with her growing up. She instilled a love of cooking and reading to me. Some of my favorite memories growing up was going to church with meme and poppa and then spending the whole day at their house sharing a great meal meme made, and a bowl of blue bell ice cream from poppa. Many rounds of phase10 were involved as well. I’ll miss meme very much but I know she is in a better place where she can be reunited with poppa Mac. Love you meme, and rest well. ❤️

My grandmother Meme has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. From the earliest memories I hold, she has been my safe place, my biggest cheerleader, and the warm heart of our family. Her gentle smile, her comforting hugs, and the way she could make everything feel okay—even on the hardest days—have left a mark on my heart that will never fade.
She taught me what real love looks like: patient, kind, steady, and full of quiet strength. Whether we were baking cookies together, listening to each other’s stories, or simply sitting in peaceful silence, every moment spent with her has been a treasure I cherish deeply.
I’m endlessly grateful for every story she’s told, every laugh we’ve shared, every piece of wisdom she’s passed down, and for the way she has loved me so completely, just as I am. She has shaped who I am in the most beautiful ways, and I feel so lucky that she is my grandmother.

Always ready to serve some delicious food or sit and watch something together Meme has such a calming presence. She was wonderful at sewing and would make outfits for my brother and I to wear when we were little that were always just what we wanted. I will truly miss her so much but know she is dancing with many of her loved one in heaven.

How precious a gift it is to recall even from my earliest memories, the earnest love and sincere faith of my precious grandmother, Sue Nichols. Our home is filled with hand-written letters, notebooks, scrapbooks, and hand-stitched treasures that serve as tangible representatives of the countless memories, joy, prayer, instruction, and beauty that she poured into the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandsons.  I am so thankful for the unconditional love MeMe filled my life with, and for the exhortation she ever set through her own example of love for her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, in whose presence and glory she now basks. I have been given many blessings through MeMe, one of which is a little notebook in which she thoughtfully wrote out letters and prayers. How humbling to trace the Lord’s providence in my life and in turn the lives of my own children, through many means including her faithful petitions. I remember fondly how MeMe loved her family dearly and relished reunions, how happy she must be now united with Christ for all eternity, surrounded by all the saints gone ahead. “Weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.”  Psalm 30:5

Thanks for supporting me Grandma Meme and Poppa Mac. Y’all always came to my events. I was always happy seeing big smiles on both of y’all’s  faces.

I didn't realize it at the time, but Mom was way ahead of everyone else in making sure we got to the airport many hours before our flight! So I guess she was just preparing us for current day!

Meme was a Godly Woman who demonstrated what a Godly Marriage should be. Meme was always fun to be around. Grandma Meme helped my Mom Homeschool me and I loved having her teach me. When my Mom and Dad bought me home from Russia on April 21,2006 she was beyond excited to have another Granddaughter. i will miss Meme so much but her legacy will not be forgotten. I’m looking forward to the day i will meet Meme in Heaven.

So sorry to hear about your loss.  Sue was a dear person who loved her family with all her heart.  I know you will miss her every day.  God bless you and give you peace in knowing she is safely in his care.  Love to you all.

Sue is one of my favorite cousins. I remember many visits with her parents and what a happy joyful girl Sue was, I always enjoyed her visits to Utah.  She had a great influence on my Christian life. I know you are in heaven with God, your family and the people you inspired here on earth. Love you, Frances (Guy) Gray

I knew and loved Sue from our days together at Katy Bible Church. She was a precious friend there and our husbands were wonderful friends as well. I last saw her when she came alone to my husband’s service 3  1/2 years ago (using her walker). That made such an impression on me that she would do that.  

Kim, I am Sunshine McKee’s daughter. And she often spoke of your parents (and you) before and after their move to Katy. You were in her S.S. Class at Spring Branch Community Church. 

I am so glad you, Sue’s family, have the hope of your mom’s security in Christ. I am praying for all of you. May our good God bring to your hearts His strength and sweet comfort, as well as many wonderful memories of your dear mother. I hope I will be able to attend her services next month.

So sorry to hear this news but no doubts about where she is and how much she is celebrating. I will always deeply appreciate how Sue befriended me and became a second mother to me 44 years ago. We kept in contact; we shared nose kazoos and omelets and memories. So grateful for those times! She was an amazing lady!  And she will be deeply missed ; Love you all, Julie Schopps
