Dear Shaku,
    Just heard about this sad news. Absolutely heartbroken. Remember Surya as a baby when our children were in daycare. I remember when he was born and the mini baby shower we had before that at our workplace. Unable to process this. May God give strength to the family.

Surya worked for Sugar Land Swim School during the summers of 2017, 2018, and 2019 as a teaching assistant and swim instructor. He had such a warm personality for his age and I admired his work ethic and charitable spirit. He treated everyone with kindness and was great at teaching children of all ages how to swim. Surya had a such a bright and impactful future ahead of him. He will be truly missed and is gone too soon. He touched many lives during his time here with us. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. 

I am the maternal uncle of Surya and would like to express my deepest gratitude and thanks to the wonderful, warm and loving community of friends, and well wishers of the Karkadas.
I am touched by the overwhelming support and empathy shown by so many young and old for Surya and his family. 
There is a saying " Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are". This is so true for Surya, despite not knowing him well, through his friends I know him better. He was an active kid, with zest for life and all that it can give. He enjoyed mother earth with his mom through gardening and had great many things he wanted to do for agriculture. He was passionate about a lot of things and was most popular with people.
I believe in re-incarnation and it is my belief that Surya's soul had higher  purpose for which he has been reassigned by GOD. I will miss Surya in flesh and blood but not his soul.
As he was named aptly "SURYA" meaning Sun and Light, he has only set to emerge again like the day and night.
We will cherish you always Surya and will always be remembered for the zest you had in life.
May he rest in peace.

I remember working with Surya in the summers that I worked with Sugar Land Swim School. He always had a bright and loving spirit and worked amazingly with kids and adults of all ages. He has a great heart for service and passion for teaching many such an important skill. He brought a lot of sunshine and joy to the work environment and to all that he worked with. His memory is deeply engrained in my heart and his impact as well. 

Shashi, Sudarshan and Dhruv,

Although we've never seen or met each other,  Shashi painted a vivid picture of Surya. Through her words it was evident how much Surya's achievements meant for you all, the affection you all shared and his bright future. 

After seeing pictures of Shashi's beautiful garden about 8 months ago, I mentioned to her that she had all the time in the world after kids fly out to join Uni....but now it's heart wrenching.

By nature, Surya 🌞  is always there everyday to make your garden bloom 🌻

The joy Surya brought into our lives was immeasurable. His presence was a gift. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 
I still can’t forget the way I used to hug him: he had to bend down to my height and we used to joke about my height.

Our hearts ache for your family. We will hold Surya in our hearts forever. Please let us know if you need anything at anytime.
We are here and we will be a shoulder for you to lean on whenever you need it. 
Surya left behind footprints in our hearts that will never be forgotten. The memory of Surya will live on and we will celebrate his life everyday. 
Please know that we are here during this time and always. 
There are no right words to erase the pain you feel. We are thinking of you and love you very much.
