It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Susan LaNell Grymes on September 29, 2024, at the age of 62. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Susan touched countless lives through her selflessness, kindness, and unwavering compassion.
Born on November 21, 1961, Susan lived a life defined by love and service to others. She was known for her remarkable ability to give without hesitation, always putting others before herself. Whether through her quiet acts of kindness or being a constant source of support for her family and friends, her generosity knew no bounds. She carried the burdens of others as if they were her own and sought no recognition, giving simply because she believed it was the right thing to do.
Her greatest joy was her family, whom she loved unconditionally. She was the beloved wife of Jeff Grymes, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage, building a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Susan is survived by her cherished children: Jason, Kelsea, Dustin, Tiffany and Amy. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Taylar, Baylee, Asher and Kai, who were the light of her life. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
In addition to her immediate family, Susan is survived by her mother Janice McIntosh, brother Mark Elledge and spouse Mia, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew her, Susan’s spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched with her love and generosity. Her family and friends will remember her as a beacon of light and warmth, whose heart was always open to those in need.
