Susan Ellen Pyle

Susan Ellen Pyle, 70, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 4th, 2026.

A visitation will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 10th at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Community, 13350 Ashford Point Dr., Houston, TX 77082.

Funeral services will be held directly after at 11 am, Tuesday, March 10th at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Community with Fr. Paul Chovanec presiding. Burial will be at 4 pm, on Tuesday, March 10th at Forest Park Southwest Cemetery. Arrangements are by Garden Oaks Funeral Home.

Susan was born in Mobile, Alabama to Herman and Ellen Richardson on July 24th, 1955. She married Galen Pyle on October 21, 1978 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, Texas. She had many jobs over the years, not limited to bookkeeper and medical benefits coordinator, but most importantly, wife and mom. She was most known for her involvement in the various ministeries at St. Justin Martyr, where she served on the parish council, was an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, served on ACTS team, and led RCIA, to name a few.

Susan Ellen Pyle is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ellen Richardson, her sisters Betty Kay and Glenda Chavez, and her brother Robert Richardson.

Susan Ellen Pyle is survived by her husband Galen Pyle, her children, Aaron and Kristin Wegenka and Garrett Pyle, her sister Karen Menendez, and her Grandson Fulton Wegenka.

Flower Memorials may be given to The Pyle Family and sent to St. Justin Martyr Catholic Community, 13350 Ashford Point Dr., Houston, TX 77082.
