Susan Renee Smith passed away on July 29, 2015. She was born a native Houstonian, on May 27, 1962 at Hermann Hospital. She was the eldest of two children born to Stuart Potter Smith and Mary Nell Stone Smith. She loved the power of reading and expressing the words to others. She knew the Lord was her Savior and loved reading the scriptures. She graduated from Pasadena High School in May 1980 and received a Bachelor in Business Administration in May 1996. She married Joseph Kelly Campbell in August, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Susan is survived by her husband, Joe Campbell; parents: Stuart & Mary Nell Smith; her brother, Alex Smith and his wife Sondra Williams Smith; Joe’s mother, Judy Campbell; Joe’s brother, Steve; one niece, Jenna B. Smith and numerous cousins.
The visitation will be on Sunday, August 2nd, from 5 to 7pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 . The funeral service is Monday, August 3rd at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name, Susan Smith Campbell, to the American Diabetes Association.
