Susan Wood was born on June 16, 1948 to Martha Sue Newton and Emmett Wood. She grew up in Houston and Dallas and has family in both.
She was a loving mother to her two children and a doting grandmother to her two grandchildren. She was a wonderful and caring daughter and sister to her mother Martha and brother Wesley.
Susan served the community for many years through her awards business, which was her life's work.
She enjoyed spending evenings playing cards with her friends, traveling, and enjoyed watching her favorite TV show, Wheel of Fortune (her name for it, 'Wheel', was an ongoing joke in the family). She was known for her kindness, generosity, love, wisdom, and optimism. She will be dearly missed by all.
