

Ted served in the Air Force from 1951 until 1955. While in the Air Force, he was assigned to the Guided Missile Squadron Air Research and Development Command and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. His service included time during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Houston, Texas, Biloxi, Mississippi, and the Bahamas. After his time serving in the military, he attended Louisiana State University. He had a long career as a banker at American Bank in Baton Rouge, LA.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Mary Morris of 68 years. They were married in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on June the 7th, 1955. They are blessed with two children and their spouses, Faith Morris Lalumandier and husband Douglas , and Rollin Morris and wife Monika, and grandchildren Sofia Morris, Anna Coleman Greenway and husband Travis, Cooper Coleman, and great-grandson Aubrey Greenway.
Ted will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed photography and traveling the world with Mary. Ted was also an avid stamp collector. His lawn and garden was his second love. Daily, he was trimming, blowing leaves, picking up acorns, and working in the yard. He enjoyed and appreciated all the compliments about his beautiful and manicured yard from neighbors and people driving by.
A Celebration of Life Service, presided by Pastor Pat Sparks of St. Peter's UMC, will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079 immediately followed by a committal service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
