It has been said that God takes from earth what he needs at that time. He must have needed a man with understanding and compassion, someone who loved and cherished life and lastly someone who played and loved sports and a good domino partner. Foron October 1, 2020 at 9:34pm, Terry John Phillips Sr., the son of John and Enola Phillips was called home to rest.
Terry was born on May 4, 1951 in Houston, Tx. He called St. Peter Claver Catholic Church his place of worship, where he joined and was a faithful member early on.
Terry attended high school at B.C. Elmore in Settegast, Tx where he was given the well-known name of Ski Wee. He was an all-star athlete in all 3 sports in high school and then carried his name and his talents to further his education and play footballat Northeastern Oklahoma, he also played for the Chicago Fire and the Detroit Wheels in the World League.
Terry met the love of his life Cheryl Jefferson in 1978 and they were married in 1981. Terry brought to their union a son (Byron) and Cheryl brought a daughter (Kimbelle). Terry adopted Kimbelle as his own and gave her his last name, they continuedto grow as a family a produced 3 more boys. Terry knew everything about everything and was a jack of all trades but found his career at Metro where he was a diesel mechanic. He retired from Metro and missed it so much he went back to work part time and wasstill employed until God called him home. We as a family really think it was to play dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Enola Phillips and his daughter Kimbelle “Kim” Phillips.
