Terry Glenn Rolls

Terry G. Rolls, known by the ones who loved him as Bumpy, was born on June 15th, 1968 at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, TX. Terry was the first twin to the proud parents Shirley Ann Figgs and Willie Lee Turner. Terry, 55, embraced Glory on November 16th, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas.

Terry Accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, at Riverdale Baptist Church in Houston, TX by Rev, O.R. Brown.

Terry was a very caring and compassionate soul and began his Journey of helping others. Terry obtained his LVN from Angelina College in Lufkin, TX in 2000. He got his ADN in 2001 passed the NCLEX and became a RN. Terry then transitioned from the technical ADN role to a more pro­fessional role and obtained his BSN at UTMB Galveston, Texas in 2003. Terry utilized all of his schooling and went straight to work at West Oaks Hospital, Houston, TX for 11 years. Terry’s experience does not stop there, his resume includes even working at Montgomery County Jail, as a Psych Nurse. Terry then went on to work at UT Health Houston, although he wore many hats, his last official title was an Assessment Nurse. He was able to help many people in his line of work, but his work did not stop there. Terry was also the personal Nurse to all close to him.

Terry Rolls began his family in 2011 and welcomed a Baby Girl Caelyn K. Rolls on January 30th, 2011 with his Partner Chris Kaio (deceased). Caelyn officially became his, and the adoption was final on October 15th, 2014. Terry Loved Caelyn with every fiber in his body. They were two peas in a pod. Terry will forever be in Caelyn’s heart.

Terry was a dedicated father, Loving son, Loyal Brother, and the Best Uncle. He was loved by so many. Terry had many friends, and although he was a loner, people would gravitate towards him. Terry was very genuine, sincere, and honest. He would always be there to listen and give sound advice. He always had a way of making you laugh, even when you wanted to cry.

Terry Rolls was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

Terry Rolls leaves to mourn and cherish his love and memories; daughter, Caelyn K. Rolls; twin sister, Teryl L. Young (Jessie Young); uncles, Apostle Thomas L. Rolls (Donnie Rolls) and Anthony Rolls Jr (Melinda), Ashley Murdock, Irving Holcomb Jr, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends that will truly miss him.

A funeral service for Terry will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
