THELMA KRISTINE FLOYD, RN, 92, died June 19, 2015. Kris was born on January 30, 1923 to Raymond Conrid Floyd and Hattie Ople Stevens Floyds in Kerens, Texas. She graduated from the University of Pittsburg with a BS in Nursing Education and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps from 1944-1948. Her work life was at VA Hospital, Houston, as an Operating Room Supervisor. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, R.C. and first wife Lucille and William and wife Frances; a sister, Alice; and her lifelong friend, Lois Hollingsworth. She is survived by sister-in-law, Kathleen Floyd; cousins, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Many thanks to the staff at Windsong Nursing Home in Pearland and to the Ladies who attended her over the past several months. Per her wishes, her graveside service will be held at the Floyd Family Plot in Kerens, Texas on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
