

Thomas Daniel Hetmaniak, 70 was born on April 22, 1942 to Frank and Helen Hetmaniak in Anderson, Texas. He entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Shenandoah, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during the Vietnam War. Thomas retired from Southwestern Bell; however, he still enjoyed going to retirement breakfasts with his Southwestern Bell buddies. Thomas was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and will be remembered for his strong faith in God that he passed on to his family and his love for family. He loved gambling, fishing and watching sports of any kind on television. He also liked coaching ball with his sons.
Thomas leaves to continue his legacy of life and love, his devoted wife of 40 years, Sharon Hetmaniak; three sons, Brian Hetmaniak and wife Kimberly, Blain Hetmaniak and wife Indira and Brandon Hetmaniak; four grandchildren, Jacob Prado, Luke Hetmaniak, Nicholas Donalson and Ashley Donalson; siblings, Bill Hetmaniak and wife Marietta, Charles Hetmaniak and wife Leona, Donna Sralla and husband Frank, Richard Hetmaniak and wife Marie and Becky Tarnowski and husband Joe; mother and father-in-law, Charles and Ruby Hendrickson and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He is reunited in Heaven with his parents. The family would like to thank Louise Hemenway for all her help at this time.
Visitation with Thomas will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from five until eight o’clock in the evening with the Praying of the Holy Rosary at seven o’clock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at ten-thirty in the morning with Father Clint Ressler as celebrant. All services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St., 77018. Thomas will be laid to rest with military honors on Monday, October 22, 2012 at twelve o'clock noon at Houston National Cemetery, 10401 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
