Tom was a fun-loving person who followed in his mother's footsteps by never meeting a stranger. He was one of the hardest working people you would ever meet. Whether it was mowing lawns at age 10, starting a paper route at age 11, bussing tables at multiple restaurants or working on motorcycles starting from age 12 (the day he bought his first) to the day he passed. He still competed in motocross racing where he rode in the senior division and won first place. Tom always had a funny story to tell about growing up in a large family of eight kids. Some of his favorite stories included one of a Halloween trick or treat that didn't quite go right in the sixth grade and also the story of him playing “Snoopy” in the Wilchester Elementary play. He was proud of the fact that everyone loved his performance, and he didn't have to say a word - just roll his eyes.
Tom was very mechanical and could fix anything. He loved to help his customers at TriFlo International where he attained the title of President of the company. Tom was always busy with projects around his house, which he built by himself. He used to say he loved turning down the drive at his house because he loved where he lived. He was quite the entrepreneur buying and selling property. He once owned a motorcycle shop in Austin where he did it all from selling to fixing motorcycles. He enjoyed seeing all his nieces and nephews in whatever endeavor they were competing in at the time. Tom attended Westchester High School in Houston, Texas. Tom was very creative and could have been a writer, but he chose to put himself through college at the University of Houston and earned his bachelors in Accounting.
Thomas is survived by his brother Patrick and his wife Gina Jamieson, sister Peggy Lawson, sister Clare Jamieson, brother Brian and his wife Cindy Jamieson, sister Dorothy Jamieson Frankovich and her husband Jim Frankovich, and brother Lawrence(Bubba) Jamieson and his wife Karin Jamieson. He also had many nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored. Tom was preceded in death by his loving mother, Dorothy E. Jamieson and sister Marian Jamieson.
May Thomas rest in peace and be welcomed into heaven by his Savior Jesus Christ and by his mother and sister.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, January 26 at 10:30am at St John Vianney Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. A reception will follow at Memorial West Community Club to celebrate and reminisce about Thomas, brother, uncle and friend.
