Anderson McDonald was born in the sunny Island of Grenada in 1956, son of Agatha McDonald and Alfred Smith. He was a loving brother, father, uncle to all his family. Anderson migrated to the United States in 1985 where he settled and worked throughout the years until he fell sick. He was hard working and was loved by his colleagues and employers alike.
Anderson was not well for some time, but the time has come when the Lord has called him home. He is in no more pain and he is not suffering anymore. He is now sleeping awaiting the second coming of His Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Anderson leaves behind two daughters (Sherine and Shenelle) and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind many siblings in various countries – America, England and Grenada including Margaret and Michael. All of whom loved him and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends – many of whom would love to have been here to pay final respect before he is laid to rest. Those who are not here in person, will surely be present in spirit.
Anderson was a compassionate and loving man with a good sense of humour and would often make others laugh when he told jokes.
Today, we are here to lay our loving brother to rest. Death is but a sleep and we pray that Anderson will be amongst those who will rise when the trumpet sound and the dead in Christ shall rise first, when Jesus Christ returns to receive His own.
Anderson loved the Lord and he often spoke about seeing God in Nature. We are sad at the loss of our loved one, but as the Psalmist says, ‘Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy cometh in the morning’.
Sleep my brother sleep until you arise, by God’s merciful grace in the first resurrection.
