Dr. Thomas Mannion McGowan was born Christmas Day on 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts to his Irish parents Dr. Thomas Bohan McGowan and Katherine Mannion McGowan.
He had a happy childhood growing up along the Ohio and West Virginia border with his sisters Kay McGowan and Celine McGowan.
Thomas graduated from Notre Dame University before graduating from Medical School at Northwestern University and becoming a pulmonologist. He loved his career and the life long friends he made in the medical field.
"Tommy" also loved music, history books, and films, that he shared with his daughter.
He is survived by his only child, Katherine Joan McGowan.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Cyril of Alexandria Catholic Church at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 followed by a Reception from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Event Room at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
