Thomas Lee Parsons, the seventh and youngest son of Edward and Mary Alice (Posey) Parsons, born in Houston, Texas on September 15,1952, died on October 22,2016, after a two-year courageous battle of cancer.
Tom graduated from ST. Vincent de Paul (1967), Marian High School (1971), the University of St. Thomas (1975), and then obtained his Master's at the University of Houston (1977). Upon graduation from UH, Tom pursued a career as a Certified Public Accountant, ultimately reaching the position of comptroller at The Men's Warehouse.
Despite not having any direct family of his own, Uncle Tom was loved and revered by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Shirley Parsons, Bob Parsons,
Dave Parsons, Steve and Judy Parsons, Mike Parsons, and Bill and Kim Parsons; his uncle John Posey, along with numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, in-laws, and outlaws, all of whom he considered family. While very successful professionally, Uncle Tom was very humble in his way of life.
He lived life as an example of what it meant to just do the right thing and to live in the present, describing life even as he battled cancer as "it is what it is, and one can't do anything about it." While very saddened in his death, the family rejoices in his life after death.
