

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Buck and Alice, and youngest brother, Rodney Rue.
Tony is survived by seven children; Joshua Rue, Jessica Lindley, Jackie Lindley, Alyssa (Rue) Reyna (Carlos), Derek Rue, Rebecca Ryberg (Wade) and Amanda Perez, five grandchildren; Jade Lindley, Love and Leif Ryberg, Romeo and Tiger Perez, and eleven siblings; sisters, Mary Sue Watson, Bonnie (Don) Baird, Andrea, Julie (Chuck) Briggs, Melanie (David) Evans. brothers, Bob (Marsha), Ron (Sharon), Ben , John (Nancy), Richard (Kathy), Jack, and many neices and nephews.
Tony proudly served his country as a member of the Armed Forces of the United States of America, serving active duty in Germany, Army National Guard of Illinois from 1971-1973, then as a Reserve of the Army until 1977.
For 25 years, he loved going to work at Continental/United Airlines, ensuring we had safe skies and safe travel.
Tony was also an avid hunter, often going out with his brother, Richard, and best friend Alex Ramirez, to find trophy deer. As long as the trips did not fall on a weekend when one of his favorite teams was playing. He was a loyal and devoted fan of the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, and Houston Rockets. He also carried the 1985 Chicago Bears deep in his heart.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, TX, 77079 at 12:30 p.m., and the family will receive guests at 11:30 a.m.
A memorial service is also being planned in Casey, Illinois on November 8, 2014.
