Travis Michael "Mike" O'Brien

Travis Michael "Mike" O'Brien, born Jan. 23, 1952 in Hou., TX died peacefully on Wed., March 13, 2013 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. "Mike" as he was known to all, loved his family & worked hard everyday to provide for them. He had the biggest heart and was always willing to help another. He was employed by Humble Machine Works for the past 29 years and everyone there was like his second family. Mike knew many people in his everyday & business life and was a friend to all and had the respect and friendship of many. If you knew him, you had a friend for life. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by: infant daughter, Brittany Sue O'Brien; parents: Robert Joseph O'Brien & June Marie O'Brien; brother, John Douglas O'Brien. Left to cherish his memories: loving wife of 27 years, Jennifer O'Brien; his greatest joys in life, his two wonderful children: son, Salvador Anthony Commiato; daughter, Courtney Marie O'Brien; cherished grandchildren: Brianna Mae Commiato, Anthony Salvador Commiato; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation will be Sat., Mar. 16th from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm, Sun., Mar. 17th. Both services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park. He will be loved forever and missed each and everyday by his family for the rest of their lives.
