It is with deep sorrow and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of Tyson Kaufman. A devoted father, cherished fiancé and partner, beloved son, and proud new grandpa whose warmth, humor, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him.
Family was the center of his world. As a father, he led with patience, strength, and unconditional love. As a fiancé and partner, he was loyal, supportive, and endlessly devoted. As a son, he carried forward the values of kindness and generosity. And as a new “Grandpa,” he found first time joy helping with feeding and singing silly songs.
He had a true passion for sports and rarely missed a race from NASCAR, a big game from the National Football League, or a matchup in Major League Baseball. Whether cheering from the couch or debating plays, his enthusiasm was contagious.
An avid outdoorsman at heart, he felt at home with a fishing pole in hand or out hunting. He was also remarkably handy with technology—the one everyone called when a gadget wouldn’t cooperate. He had a curious mind and a love for science fiction and space, always fascinated by what lay beyond the stars and eager to share that wonder with those around him.
Above all, Tyson will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. His quirky jokes, perfectly timed one-liners, and playful spirit could light up any room and bring smiles even on the hardest days. He had a special gift for laughter—reminding us not to take life too seriously and to find joy in the little things.
Tyson grew up in beautiful San Diego, California where the ocean was his playground. He loved to surf and skateboard in his younger years. He often proudly spoke of when Tony Hawk came to his house to skate his infamous half pipe skate ramp. Tyson would easily spend all day surfing along the many beaches in San Diego. He was an excellent tennis player as well , winning many competitive matches.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the love he gave so freely and the memories that will carry us forward. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the deep love he planted in all of us.
Tyson is survived by his father, Jack Kaufman and wife Evita, his son and daughter Michael Pinder and Christina Pinder. His devoted fiance', Rena Pinder. His mother, Marcia Kaufman, brother Kyle Kaufman and sisters, Jessica Lieder and Kelly Kaufman. He will be laid to rest in a family plot in Alpine, California.
