Ursie Mae Davis

Ursie Mae Davis, a cherished mother & warm friend. Born on February 14,1948 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Amilcar Sr. & Beatrice Helaire. Ursie is survived by her brother Thomas, Amilcar Jr, Beatrice (Tee), host of nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her late brother Melvin (Joe), late sister Patricia (Putt).

Her family was her greatest pride & joy. Ursie is also survived by her five children- Reginald, Roderick Sr, Randy, Ryan, & Rachelle. Daughter n laws & son & law- LaQuitha, Tiesha, Tovah, Tamieka, & Jodie. 11 grandchildren- Ashley, Bryce, Cory, Roderick Jr, Brooke, Tobias, Paige, Loryn, Gaige, Koen, & Kamille; and 4 great-grandchildren- Issa, Iman, Issac, & Ivy. She also leaves behind fond memories of her late husband, Paul Davis.

Ursie dedicated 16 years of service where she retired from the hospitality industry at Bush Airport for the City of Houston, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of countless colleagues and community members. Ursie was a member of Calvery Way M.B.C. led by Pastor B. E. Lewis for over 30 years, where she served on the usher board.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Ursie found delight in the simple pleasures in life. She absolutely loved shopping & had a passion for working in her yard.

Ursie Mae Davis will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy of love, dedication, and warmth will continue to inspire those who were blessed to have known her.

A Celebration of Life Service for Ursie will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
