To Donald Ray and family,,we can't begin to express how very sorry we are for your loss.  When I think of Arline, I know she was the center point of your family.  She loved and cared for all who gathered together with her.  She was a lovely person who loved her family very much and there wasn't anything she wouldn't do or sacrifice for them.  She will be sorely missed.  I know this holiday season will be especially hard for you all. Nana, I love you more than words can describe.  I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate you and papa always being there for me.  I look at the both of you like my mom and dad, I wouldn't have had the amazing life I did if it wasn't for yall raising me like I was your own. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for you teaching all the wonderful things you have taught me. You are the most sweetest, kindness,  loving, and caring person I have ever meet. I am sorry that you had to go through all that you did, you did not deserve one bit of it. You were the best grandma anyone could ask for. You were always there for my kids when they just needed someone to talk to.  You will be truly missed by me, Brandon, and the kids. We love you and I can't wait to see you again. 
I know you are in a better place in no more pain.  I now have my angel looking down on me. 

Papa, I love you with all my heart. I can not tell you enough how much I appreciate you always being here for me. You are the most perfect amazing man on this earth.  I have always looked up to you. You are so caring, loving, sweet, and would do anything for anyone. I am sorry you have lost the love of your life. I loved watching you and nana always be together. Yall were perfect for each other. I can't remember one time yall ever had an argument or a disagreement.  You have always set a good example for me on how a marriage should be. Me, Brandon, and the kids love you and will take care of everyday till the end of your time. I have made my promise to nana to be there for you and I will not let her down. 
I love you and nana so much forever and always. 
You both are a true blessing to me and my kids.

 
Last but not least to mom, I love you and I will miss you very much.  I am sad that you are not here with us anymore, but I am also happy that you are in a better place.  I am so glad that you are in no more pain and wished you didn't have to live through the pain you did.  You will always be in my heart and your memories will live on forever.  You have left me with your morals and values, and I hope to live up to them and pass them on to others.  I know that you are watching over us and I take comfort in knowing that you are in heaven with God and your love ones. 
So to my family I commit to each of you a pledge that I will be there to stand by you and to be strong for you, as she has.  I will carry on nana's legacy of kindness, love, support, her morals and her values. We will be a family that is strong for each other, a family that will have faith and a family that will love the Lord.  I love each one of you with all of my heart.

To the rest of the family, her sister, brothers, nieces and nephews I want to also say that I am sorry for your lose as well.  She meant a lot to all of us and we each will miss her in our own way. Thank you for being there for my family and each other.

Daddy, I love you with all my heart and I hate to see you hurting.  I cannot imagine how hard it is to have been with someone for 53 years and then lose that person.  Please don't blame yourself, you took care of mom with love and compassion that out last a life time.  She would not want you to blame yourself for anything.  There is nothing that we could have done any differently, it was her time to go and God was ready for her.  I know it is hard for us that are left behind but I am encouraged to know that she is in heaven watching over us, in no pain and with God and her loved ones.  We will miss her and have to change the way we live every day, but she will want us to continue on with no regrets, and with days full of love and happiness with each other.  She was your Boulder, and now you have two Rocks (Tina and myself), two stones (Toni and Heather) and four pebbles (Bub, Cassandra, Caleigh and Braylon) to keep you going.  I think with that and all the support from the rest of the family we can build a good foundation to be strong for each other.

Donald, my sweet husband, I am so glad that you were there with me as I struggled this last two weeks with mom, you were my rock.  I was having a hard time being a nurse when I was dealing with a daughter's heart.  You fought for my mother's medical care as if she was your own.  I love you with all my heart and I am so glad that you are who you are.  I am so proud to call you my husband.

Caleigh, you have only known nana for 5 years but even a short time can make it hard to say good bye to her, but she is in heaven and she is looking down on you every day and watching over you.  Nana will always be in your heart and you will always have your memories of her.  Nana loved you so much and loved the way you were always happy and laughing.  
Braylon, the youngest of the great grandchildren, you were only around nana for 2 months, but she was in love with you.  She made sure she got to hold “that baby”.  Her memories will stay alive in the rest of the family and I hope each one of us will share them with you as you grow.

Brandon Jr, Bub, nana was extremely proud of you, she talked about how she enjoyed listening to you play your music, I think it brought back some memories of her childhood when they played the violin.  You are the first great grandchild and she loved you so much.  Also she talked so highly about your cooking abilities and this made her very happy.  She knew that she didn't have to worry about you taking care of yourself. 
Cassandra, you were nana's first great granddaughter, she loved you very much and talked about how smart you were.  She told me many times how you and her played school and that you were a good teacher.  I know she wants you to do good in school and to make sure you get a good education.  I know you will miss her but she is still in your heart and will always be in your memories.  Those are what we can cherish.

Heather, I know you have done so much to help nana and papa, you have grown into a wonderful woman, mother and wife. I know nana was so proud of you.  That is why she has trust in you to take care of papa and help him with every day activities.  You have stepped up without any complaints or regrets.  I know how you feel about nana and I hope that I can fill her foot prints for you.
Brandon, Nana truly cared so much about you, I know that she was proud to call you her grandson, and she trusted you with her granddaughter, that means a lot.  She has watched you grow into a wonderful young man, father and husband.  She respected the way you have raised your children and knew that she had nothing to worry about.  Heather and you have taught the children respect and that made nana proud.

Toni, I know you have some regrets that you may not have spoken to nana as much as you would have liked and I too fight with the same struggle, but nana knew how much each of us loved her.  She wouldn't want us to live with that guilt so we must let it go.  Nana was so proud of you and the accomplishment you have achieved with your college degree.  I know her and her mother Mary are up there with a huge smile on their face because they have someone who loves sewing as much as they did and someone to carry on that skill in our family.     
Blake, nana only knew you for a few years now, but I know that she really liked you and thought highly of you.  She told me once that she thought you would be very good for Toni and that you were a very kind person.  I wished you would have been able to get to know her better, but I am sure Toni will keep her memory alive and you will see her as the wonderful person she was.

As my mother has always been the strong one in the family that kept everyone safe and secure, she was the ROCK of salvation to many. I feel that I must take on that role and I take it on with honor.  To each of my family I would like to leave a message: 
Tina, I am sorry that I was not around more to help you with mom, taking care of her as her sickness progressed.  Thank you for being there for her.  I know this is hard for you, but it's time to step up because we have dad to think of, he has lost the love of his life and we need to help him through this.

Nana, I will miss you so much. I will cherish the time I had with you for the rest of my life. 

Papa, I am sorry you lost your baby. The love that you two have for each other is undeniable. Witnessing such love and compassion has taught me a lot. I love you!

You were a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Rip. You will be greatly missed.  Love bubba and nature

I was sitting here listening to the Christian song " I can only imagine".  It is a song of how we here on Earth can only imagine what it will be like when we see our Savior in Heaven.  Then the thought crossed my mind, Arline does not have to imagine any longer, she is in the presence of God.  What a wonderful and comforting thought. With all my love Aunt Wanda

I have many happy memories at the Goza house playing with Tina and Christy and also little Gigi when we were growing up as neighbors.  Arline was always very kind and fed me more than a few times.  I'm sure I probably wore out my welcome especially over summer breaks but she never let on.  My deepest condolences go out to Tina, Christy and Donald at this very sad time.

I have so many happy memories with my Aunt Arline. I loved going to her house and playing with my cousins, Christy and Tina. Her home felt like a second home to me because you always felt welcomed and loved by her and my Uncle Donald Ray. There were so many fun times...baking cakes, dancing to music on her record player, watching her knit, holidays, birthdays, drinking her sweet ice tea and so much more.
