Vera Roush Freeman Brinkley, aged 87, of Meadows Place, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2025, in Sugar Land, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Willowhole Cemetery, located at 12910 Farm to Market Rd 1372, North Zulch, TX 77872. The Rev. Jeff Moran of Sugar Land Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Willowhole Cemetery. Arrangements have been made by Garden Oaks Funeral Home.
Vera was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, to Carl and Virginia Roush on October 15, 1937. She attended Gallipolis High School and married Horace Freeman in December of 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. Vera worked as a Travel Agent for Atlas Travel and later as a Receptionist/PBX Operator for Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. In retirement, she was an avid Ancestry researcher and loved working puzzles.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Carl Roush.
Vera is survived by her sons, Michael and his spouse, Doris, and Jeffrey and his spouse, Denise; her sister, Jane Abshire; grandchildren, Zachary Freeman and Elizabeth Freeman; and great-grandson, Sean Freeman.
