Verna Ann Luchak, 79, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 4, 2012. She was born on January 23, 1933 in Bremond, TX to Pete and Willie Alexander. Verna is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, August Luchak.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Stegent and husband Raymond, Sharon Cruseturner, Diane Tallent and husband Ron Tallent of Huntsville, TX and George Luchak and wife Judy; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm at the chapel of Pat H. Foley & Company and the Holy Rosary will be recited at 6pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St., Houston, 77018. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, 77060.
