Vernon is survived by his wife of 57 years, Debbie Harrison Vespa; sons John Vespa of Dallas, Texas; Daniel Vespa of Brooklyn, New York; and Nicholas (Paige) Vespa of Houston, Texas; brother Charles Vespa of Quincy, Illinois, sister-in-laws Shirley Vespa and Marilyn Vespa of Springfield, Illinois. Phyllis Wilson of Yukon, OK.
