Vicci Mae Denton, born October 19, 1952 in Denison Texas, daughter of William McCrary and Peggy Jane Denton, passed this life December 13, 2012. Vicci graduated from Westbury High School and worked as a hair stylist for several years before attaining her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Houston. She was the art teacher for several years at De Zavala Elementary School in Houston. An artist by nature, Vicci had a passion for painting and had many friendships throughout her life, many of whom are here today. Preceded in death by parents William and Peggy Jane Denton, and beloved nephew Danny John Gilstrap, Jr. Vicci is survived by her son, Zachery James Denton and Taryn Burt, and grandson Kaden Edward Denton, Brothers William and Rhonda Denton of Houston, John Denton and Marcia Rayne of Grapevine, Robert and Cathy Denton of Katy, Richard and Miriam Denton of Houston, and Sister Deborah and Danny Gilstrap of Magnolia. She is also survived by nephews and nieces Michael Gilstrap, Bryce Denton, Billy Gilstrap, Chase Denton, Jackie Harrison, Ethan Gilstrap, Matt Denton, Kristyn Wampler, Maggie Denton, Ashleigh Denton, Joey Denton, Taylor Denton, and Dylan Denton. She is survived by numerous great nephews and nieces.
