Vicky M. Sanchez

Vicky M. Sanchez, 78, of Houston,TX, passed away on April 15th, 2022 in Katy, TX.

Vicky Sanchez was born in San Jose, Costa Rica to Cheppe and Alicia Sanchez on April 28th, 1944. After high school, she moved to the United States, to attend surgical tech school in Atlanta, GA. There, she met and married Vernon Schievelbein in 1967, moved to Houston, and had two children. Post marriage, she worked as a surgical technologist for many hospitals within the Houston area, with her last employment being at West Houston Medical Center. She had a great passion and work ethic for working in healthcare.

Vicky Sanchez is preceded in death by both her parents and many siblings who have gone before her, as she was born into a very large family of 17 children.

Vicky Sanchez is survived by her daughter, Ann Schievelbein Breining, and spouse Barry Breining, and their children Jessica Dolloff, Julia Ribera, and McCabe Breining, and her great grandchildren, Aria and Hannah Dolloff. She is also survived by her son, Anthony Schievelbein and spouse Heather Schievelbein, and their children Nigel Schievelbein, Brianna Schievelbein, Arwen Schievelbein, and Annie Schievelbein.

The family of Vicky Sanchez wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Vantage Hospice, in particular her nurse, Thede Green, for her loving and compassionate care. Ms. Sanchez will be cremated at Garden Oaks Funeral Home with a private ceremony and scattering in Mexico, as she requested.
