Vincent Paul Plunkett, 71, passed away on June 26, 2016. He was born February 2, 1945 to Daniel J. Plunkett and Catherine M. Dunkley Plunkett in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After Vincent attended Catholic Schools and Seminary, he served in the United States Navy. Upon attending the Defense Language Institution for Russian and Vietnamese, he was part of a flight crew in Vietnam. Once he finished his time in the Navy, he studied for a Degree in Asian Studies majoring in Chinese at the Monterey Institution of Foreign Studies. He married and had three children: Brandon, Vincent and Heather. Returning to Philadelphia, he took an Administrative position at a local Precision Valve Company, before coming to Houston where he worked for a couple more Valve MFG Companies until a injury in an industrial accident ended his career in that area. After spending most of his life in the Catholic Church, with a desire to know the truth and study the scriptures, he began attending the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and also studied at the Houston Graduate School of Theology. He drove a cab while attending school and then worked in the Home Improvement Arena, starting out as a kitchen designer and then was in management of several departments, becoming known as the "go to person." He served as First Elder in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he did some preaching and some teaching, and acted as Treasurer with the event of the Computerized Accounting Program for this position. He remarried and became the Patriarch of a blended family, adding four children: Georg, Lisa, Jess and Julie, to his three. He encouraged all the children to advance their education, in finding fulfilling careers, and to marry wonderful people, who in turn, made him a grandpa fourteen times.
