She was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Luke Williams at First Evening Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Quinney, Sr.; mother, Elenor Thomas Quinney; husband, Oscar Gray, Sr.; son, Lewis Gray; daughter, Mary Risen; sisters, Ester McCoy, Ernie Mae Hunter, Lenora Lacour, Annie Bell McGlory, Elenor Ellis; and brothers, Henry Quinney, Jr., Nathaniel Quinney and Roosevelt Quinney. She went to be the Lord on August 10, 2020.
Virginia, better known as “Jenny” leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Beverly Waller, Ella Gray, both of Houston, Texas; son, Oscar Gray, Jr. (Wanda) of Richmond, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 42 greatgrandchildren, 10 great greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
