Walter Lee Cornell

Walter Lee Cornell, age 81, of New Waverly, Texas passed away December 1, 2021. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 8, 1940. Walter graduated from Aldine High School in 1958. That is where he played football and met the love of his life Patricia Kay Cornell. They married on June 28, 1958 and spent 63 loving years together. Walter worked as a chemical operator at Monsanto Chemical Co, and left to become a Snap on Tool Dealer which lead him to starting his own business (Advertise America). He attended flight school and earned his private and commercial pilot licenses. Flying became one of his passions along with hunting, fishing, aviation, archery, and most of all vendoring Local Honey and attending craft shows with his wife Pat. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Shriners, a Mason at Aldine Masonic Lodge 1412.

Walter is preceded in death by his father Walter Roland Cornell and mother Edith Margaret Cornell. He is survived by his wife Patricia Kay Cornell; daughters Becky Mills and husband Robert Mills, Robin Pruitt and husband Charles Pruitt; son Rodney Cornell and wife Tanya Cornell; grandchildren Ryan Mills and wife April Galloway, Corey Mills and wife Brittnee Mills, Chase Pruitt, Camren Cornell, and Makenzy Cornell; great grandchildren Brayden Mills, Aniston Mills, Ethan Mills, and Pyper Mills; brothers Curtis Cornell, Sr., and Donald Cornell.

Serving as pallbearers Camren Cornell, Chase Pruitt, Ryan Mills, Corey Mills, Brayden Mills, Ethan Mills.

Funeral arrangements for Walter will include a visitation on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and funeral services on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2:30 pm.
