

The family moved to Houston Texas when she was 4 years old. She graduated from M.B. Smiley High School in 1964. She met Jim Delaney shortly after graduation and they were married February 27th 1965. They moved to Tomball Texas in 1969. She went to work for Tomball I.S.D. in 1977 and worked for 10 years as a bus driver, a job she loved. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Tomball where she was active in the choir and drove the bus for many youth group activities. She moved with her husband Jim to Bryan/College Station where she worked for Texas A&M College of Architecture until her retirement in 2000. She and Jim both loved to R.V. and belonged to several camping clubs traveling and enjoying “senior mischievousness” with her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her Father Roy E. Holt, Mother Mary B. Holt, Brother Bill W. Holt, Brother-in-law Johnny McConathy, Husband, James Martin Delaney, Sister-in-law Ann January Holt, Brother Norman E. Holt.
She is survived by her son, Kevin, his wife Donna Delaney, and their children Alysha Delaney and Jonathan Delaney and family; brother, Merrel, his wife Jo Holt, and their children Troy Holt and family Lance Holt and family, and Kristi Lanier and family; sister, Doris McConathy and her children Mike McConathey and family and Shelli Amason and family; sister-in-law Sally Holt and her sons Jeff Holt and family and Kyle Holt and family; Bill & Ann Holts and family, Cindy Adams and family, Debbie Morris and family, and Mark Holt and family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Delaney, Christopher Moody, Todd Amason, Dylan Amason, Jeff Holt, Wayne Green. Mike McConathy and Nathan Amason will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Special thanks to First Baptist Church Tomball Senior Ladies Sunday school class for being there with mom and our family throughout the entire process.
