

Passed away Saturday October 17th, 2015 in Houston, TX. He was born November 10th, 1920 in Denison TX. to Roy Gordon Davis and Bessie Ruth Bailey. Warren was a wonderful husband and friend to his wife of 67 years, Martha. He is survived by his wife, Martha; and two sons, Carl of Marbridge Ranch, Manchaca, TX. and Mark of Rockport, TX.
After graduating from Denison High School, Warren enlisted in the Army-Airforce with communications in 1942. His company was responsible for the installation of Radar search units on the West Coast after the attacks on Pearl Harbor. After his honorable discharge as Sergeant in 1942, he returned to Houston and began night school at the University of Houston where he graduated with a BA of Science. He began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone followed by Rogers-Ray Geophysical Co. and then The Superior Oil Co. as an Electronics Engineer designing and troubleshooting oil field seismograph equipment. He retired from Exxon Mobile in 1985. After retirement he and Martha spent a great deal of time at their Rockport home tending to their Azalea gardens, enjoying the Humming Birds and making hobby clocks for friends and family. Warren was an avid reader and photographer.
The family will welcome friends to a visitation on Wednesday, October 21st from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Followed by a graveside service at 11:00am. All service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery.
