William Jackson Cole, devoted husband, exceptional father, and loving grandfather, joined our Lord and Savior in Heaven on April 23, 2026. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family and his beloved dogs.
Jackson was preceded in death by his father, William Adelbert Cole; his mother, Margie Juanita Cole; his unnamed infant sister; his grandfather, Hugh English; his grandmother, Maude English; and his firstborn grandson, Capt. Chase Tyler Cole.
Jackson is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Cole; his firstborn son, William Cole, and his wife, Kenna, along with their children, Peyton Riley and Isabella Parker; his second son, Jeremy Cole, and his ex-wife, Shanna, along with their children, Carter Jackson and Paxton Murray; his brother-in-law, Marvin Lee Jordan, and his wife, Gerry; and his brother, Michael Cole.
William Jackson Cole was born in Houston, Texas, on November 19, 1950. He graduated from Jesse H. Jones High School in Houston in 1968. He went on to study accounting at the University of Houston, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1972. Following graduation, he built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant.
Jackson cherished time spent with his family and loved ones, especially his grandchildren. He had a deep love for all animals, particularly his dogs, whom he treated as members of the family. He also found great joy at the ranch, where he raised and cared for his registered Maine-Anjou and American Shorthorn cattle. He was happiest when riding his tractor to mow the pastures or taking his grandchildren along on his side-by-side to feed the cattle.
William Jackson Cole was known for his friendly and easygoing nature. He always wore a smile, offered kind words to strangers, and went above and beyond to help those in need. It was often said that he never met a stranger—after just one conversation, you were a friend. Those fortunate enough to visit his home quickly discovered that on their first visit, they were treated as friends, and by the second visit, they were considered family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in William Jackson Cole’s name to MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Alzheimer’s Texas Foundation, and/or the SPCA. Please keep his family and loved ones in your prayers.
