William Holcomb Jr.

William Holcomb Jr, was born August 1, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, to the union of Loretta Holcomb(Orr) and William Holcomb Sr. He began his early education in Detroit, Michigan graduating from Pershing High School.

In 1976 William began employment with Eastern Airlines where he relocated to Clearwater, Florida for several years. January 1978, William was joined in matrimony with Jean Denise Fentress. To this union, William Holcomb, III was born August 1978. Two daughters Lynette and Alfre preceded their father in death at birth.

May 1983 William relocated to Houston, Texas due to a job opportunity and began a nearly 34-year career with Continental Airlines which merged with United Airlines as a baggage service agent.

Among his many attributes our loved one was an avid reader and a source of facts and logic. Bowled on several leagues in his youngers years and averaged a score of 170, which he was proud to let you know. William was very compassionate with his family and everyone he met. He could be quite the comedian, and make you laugh just hearing his deep jovial laughter.

William left this earthly home on Friday, January 13th and leaves to cherish many wonderful memories of his life-Jean and William Holcomb, III, William Holcomb Sr. (Father-preceded him in death), Loretta Holcomb (Mother), Lenora Thomas (Sister), Eric Holcomb (Brother), Leslie Holcomb (Sister), James Fentress(Brother/In-law)-Delores, Lenora Foster (Sister/In-law)-Ronald, Leonard Fentress (Brother/In-law), and a host of family and friends.
