William Andrew LeBlanc, known to all as Bill, passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2026, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Houston, TX. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Adonis and Carmen LeBlanc, daughter Bridget LeBlanc Green, elder sister Marie Farquar, younger twin sisters Peggy Bennett and Patsy Corbett, nephew Bob Corbett and nieces Amy Corbett and Jennifer DeLeon Mendez. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Bobbie LeBlanc, stepson David Anderson, granddaughter Leah Nicole Green, son-in-law Brad Green, several nieces, nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Bill was born to Adonis and Carmen on September 21,1941 in Lafayette, LA. The family later moved to Houston in 1953, joining his father, who had transferred to Houston by Southern Pacific Railroad.
Bill was in the first graduating class of St. Pius X High School, in 1959. Several years later, he joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country as a combat Marine during the Vietnam War. He was awarded two purple hearts.
After his discharge in 1968, Bill entered the DPS Academy and worked in law-enforcement for 30 years. He also worked a part time security job for Enron and for many years pursued a college education attending night classes at the University of Houston.
Upon his retirement and newfound freedom, he discovered two hobbies he dearly loved. They were flying airplanes, working as a Marshall at Pinecrest Golf Course and playing golf with his buddies.
He was very active in his parish at St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he was a CCE teacher on Sundays, Eucharistic Minister, Liturgical Minister, and an Acolyte. Bill served as Grand Knight for Council #7136 and was a Fourth Degree Knight. He was involved in working the Journey to Damascus weekends, and relentless when it came to recruiting family members and St. Matthews parishioners to attend.
He was known for his loyalty and dedication to the Texas Longhorns, and some might say he was their number one fan. Everywhere he travelled, he always threw up the Horns for a picture.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff and nurses at Heart-to-Heart Hospice for the loving care shown to Bill over the last week. Also, a special thank you to our extended family for all their support and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in Bill’s memory.
