William Manly Nix

William graduated from Spring Branch ISD, Saint Thomas University, and University of Houston. He served in the United States Army serving in South Korea, Washington D.C., and San Antonio, TX during the Vietnam era. A long time employee of the City of Houston.

William leaves behind his brothers, Richard Nix of Texas, Charles Nix of Mission, Texas, Robert Nix of Texas (Nancy Okrasleski), Partner, Gordon Wilson of Carthage, Texas, and many friends.

The son of William Manly Nix III (deceased) of McAllen, Margaret (Lewis) Nix (deceased) of San Antonio. He is predeceased by his Step-Mother who he loved dearly, Margaret “Peggy” Reeves Nix of McAllen, and his sister Linda Nix of McAllen.

William loved entertaining and volunteering for causes that he liked. He provided financial support for youth programs, various charities, and the Houston Public Library.

Viewing will be Friday, December 10, 2021 from 4 pm until 5 pm with the service at 5 pm at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway. Memorial service at Galloway Methodist Church Carthage, TX to be determined.
