
Dr. William S. Tuttle of Houston, age 84, passed away February 15 at Eagles Trace in Houston. He touched many lives with his love, compassion and generosity. Bill was born in Sharpsburg, KY 02/07/1931. He attended college at Transylvania University, Medical School at University of Louisville and performed his residency in ophthalmology at Baylor University. He married the love of his life, Barbara in 1959, they built their life in Houston. He and Barbara brought 3 children into our world, David, Richard and Carol. Barbara passed in 1975. Bill honorably raised his children along with carrying on a successful private practice in medicine for over 45 years. As the children grew older Bill became involved in the Archeology Society, he saw the world over and was always anxious to tell a story of his travels. He remained steadfast in his his faith and church, Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, where he had numerous friends. He also travelled yearly to deliver eye exams and glasses to the underprivileged in other countries. He ended his career providing countless hours of free care to those in need in Houston clinics. He had a great group of workout friends as well at the local community center.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara. Survived by children, David (Heather Corbett) Brantford, Canada, Richard (Dawn Kastning) Palatine, IL, and Carol Tuttle, Houston, TX. Loving grandfather of Austin, Nicholas, Andrew Tuttle, Rachel Preston, Celine Tuttle, Jocelyn(Matt) Sparks and Camden Kuksa.
Visitation to be held Wednesday, February 18 from 1-3 pm, service at 3:00, Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston TX
