

William “Dwayne” Walker died Monday, April 25th, 2022, in Houston, TX after a long illness. He was born May 1st, 1934, in Ada, OK and lived in that area until the family moved to Texas in 1943.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy and by their children: son David, wife Mindy of Houston and their children, Ben and Kaylee; and by daughter Stacy Boe and husband Robert of Dallas, and their sons Nathan and Connor; sister-in-law Peggy Dicken and her husband Buzz of Dallas and Shanna McKenney and her husband Tom of Katy; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents Allard and Vera Walker, and by his sister Maxine Walker Brown.
Dwayne graduated from Borger High School and then from the University of Texas, Austin. He served in the US Army for two years. He worked for J.M. Huber, Corp. for 38 years, retiring in 1998. He was active in many professional organizations during his time there.
He was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, Houston from 1970, until his death, serving in many capacities. He loved the Lord and his family and devoted his time and energy serving both.
Services will be Friday, May 6th at 1:15 p.m. at: Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038
