She was born on March 10, 1945, in Houston to Wilbert Green and Blanche Stepney. Graduated from Yates High School in 1962 and shortly after attended Texas Southern University.
In 1964, she married Harvey Lee Strain, Jr. During their 16 + years of marriage they raised two kids, Kim L. Strain and Karson E. Strain.
Our mom worked for Texas Instrument as Line Manager for over 10 + years displaying a wonderful skill for problem solving and her simple pleasures were working on crossword puzzles, baking cakes and dining at Pappadeaux Restaurant.
Ms. Strain is survived by her daughter Kim Strain- Douglas, son Karson E. Strain, son-in-law Reginald Douglas, daughter-in-law Paula Strain, grandson’s Kentre’ Strain, Keivon Strain, Kiante’ Strain and a host of beloved uncles and cousins.
A memorial services for Wilma will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
